Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer/Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Advanced Technology Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing expert-level break-fix and preventive maintenance, as well as designing and implementing mechanical and electrical equipment improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Expert-Level Maintenance: Conduct thorough troubleshooting and repair of complex systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Design and Implement Improvements: Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase overall productivity.
  • Program and Troubleshoot Control Systems: Utilize programming languages such as Ladder Logic to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex control systems.
  • Lead CI Activities: Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) activities to identify and implement process improvements, resulting in cost savings and increased efficiency.
  • Source and Procure Parts and Supplies: Identify and source necessary parts, supplies, and repair items to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with Industry Standards: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) required; Associate's degree with a technical focus and 7 years of related experience or 10 years of experience in a specific industry.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in PLC programming, extensive experience writing and modifying Ladder Logic, and a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle tools, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces, and talk or hear.
Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. The employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
