About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Solar Operations & Maintenance Specialist to join our team at New Energy Equity. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our solar photovoltaic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Maintenance and Repair: Provide support to our Level 1 and Level 2 O&M Technicians in daily duties, including annual preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Assist with Daily Duties: Assist with moving materials around job sites, utilizing hand and power tools to support O&M technicians in daily duties.
  • Record and Report Faults: Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other nonconformances on site, documenting time, material, and travel expenses for the completion of daily responsibilities.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with internal teams, third-party vendors, and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Travel and Availability: Able to travel on short notice and be available during non-traditional working hours.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; degree or technical certification in a related electrical field. Experience with construction or electrical work.
  • Special Requirements: Comfortable operating in low voltage and non-hazardous situations with supervision. Strong written/verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to drive a vehicle confidently and with a high degree of safety. Able to stand for long periods of time and walk distances up to three miles a day.
