About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. As a Surgical Tech PRN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during surgical procedures and identify any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of surgical patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of one year acute care hospital OR RN experience.
