We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. As a Surgical Tech PRN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during surgical procedures and identify any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of surgical patients.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of one year acute care hospital OR RN experience.
HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center.
We have emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center, and a Level II NICU. Our services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
