Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented OR Scrub Tech to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by assembling supplies and equipment, preparing sterile instrument tables, and positioning patients according to the type of surgery.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of a Surgical Scrub Tech Program.
  • 1-3 years of recent acute care OR Tech experience preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification.
  • Ortho & Neuro experience helpful.
