Job Summary and QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
- Assemble supplies and equipment required for surgical procedures.
- Prepare sterile instrument tables.
- Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for potential breaches.
- Position patients according to the type of surgery.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
- Adhere to Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Surgical Scrub Tech Program.
- Preferred: 3 years of recent acute care OR Tech experience.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification).
- Experience in Orthopedics and Neurology is beneficial.
