Position Overview:

The State Financial Operations Manager plays a vital role within the financial operations division, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and comprehensive business analysis for state initiatives. This role is under the supervision of the National States Budget Director and collaborates closely with National State Operations Desks and Coordinated COOs to maintain precise and current budget oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to execute state budget plans.
  • Establish best practices and high-quality processes to ensure transparency among various stakeholders.
  • Support quarterly and monthly budget reporting efforts.
  • Act as a support resource for designated states, liaising with the National State Operations Desk.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in budgeting or financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is essential.
  • Familiarity with campaign budgeting is advantageous.
  • Experience with database software (e.g., Quickbase or similar) is preferred.

The starting salary for this position is $75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time role that may require weekend work. This position is exempt and not eligible for bargaining unit status as it is expected to last less than six months.
