About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hematology and Oncology Specialist to join our team at the South Texas VA Healthcare System - Veterans Health Administration. As a member of our Comprehensive Cancer Center, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnostic workup, treatment, and follow-up for blood disorders and malignancies.
  • Participate in educational programs and quality assurance initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Supervise medical students, residents, and fellows to advance their knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct clinical research and advance scholarly activities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve our mission of providing exceptional care to veterans.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology-Oncology.
  • ABIM Board eligibility/certification in Internal Medicine and Hematology and Medical Oncology.
  • Hematology/Oncology Fellowship in an ACGME accredited training program (candidates in the final year are eligible).
  • Scholarly activities, including clinical research interests in Hematology or Oncology.
