Overview


US Oncology, Inc. is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our dedicated team. This role will support the Medical Oncology Department, providing care across multiple service locations.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, offering a work-life balance with no weekend, call, or holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities


The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) will:

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards.
  • Assess patient and family needs, providing education and instructional materials.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision.
  • Administer medications and blood products accurately, ensuring proper dosage and technique.
  • Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and consent forms prior to therapy administration.
  • Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient conditions and collaborating with physicians.
  • Perform venipuncture and maintain central line catheter devices.
  • Document patient care and treatments accurately.
  • Understand reimbursement procedures and charge capture processes.
Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • 0-3 years of RN experience; entry, mid, or senior level candidates are welcome.
  • A current RN state license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working Conditions


The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions typical of an oncology/hematology clinic.

Physical Requirements


This role requires a full range of body motion, including lifting patients and manual dexterity. The position involves standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
