Overview


US Oncology, Inc. is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our dedicated team. This role will primarily support the Medical Oncology Department, requiring travel to various service locations.

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule, ensuring work-life balance without weekend or holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities


The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) will:

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards.
  • Assess patient and family needs, providing education and instructional materials.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision.
  • Administer medications and blood products accurately and safely.
  • Ensure necessary pre-authorizations and consent forms are obtained prior to treatment.
  • Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient conditions and collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Perform venipuncture and maintain central line devices.
  • Document patient care and treatments meticulously.
  • Understand reimbursement procedures and ensure accurate charge capture.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred.
  • 0-3 years of nursing experience.
  • A current RN state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Requirements


This role requires a full range of motion, including the ability to lift patients and perform manual tasks. Candidates should be prepared for extended periods of standing and walking, with occasional lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
