Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Service Team Member, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, helping customers shop our store, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Help customers locate products, answer questions, and provide solutions to meet their needs
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods
  • Engage customers on our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, promoting enrollment and usage
  • Participate in visual merchandising, including maintaining store recovery standards and ensuring a well-merchandised store
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including truck unloading, stocking, and planogram maintenance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience in retail or customer service preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
