Patient Services Associate

Family Health Centers at NYU Langone is a leading healthcare provider in New York State, with a network of eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers, and four day care centers. We are seeking a Patient Services Associate to join our team, responsible for performing diversified clerical functions in Registration/Information, Appointments, and Patient Care modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and family members while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Registration functions, including visit registration, translation needs, and demographic verification
  • Financial functions, including insurance eligibility verification and collection of co-pays and deductibles
  • Electronic Health Record (eHR) competencies, including scanning insurance cards and capturing patient photos
  • Telephone functions, including answering phones and taking messages
  • Discharge functions, including creating follow-up appointments and printing necessary documents

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with office settings and customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mandarin and Cantonese language skills
  • Ability to work every Sunday and potentially every Saturday and Sunday + 3 weekdays
