Job Title: Defense Litigation Paralegal Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Defense Litigation Paralegal Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our litigation support team, you will play a crucial role in managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and assisting in trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
* Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all case-related activities.
* Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
* Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
* Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed.
* Track and document billable hours and assist in maintaining compliance with billing policies.
* Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and timelines.

Qualifications:

* Degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
* Previous experience with billable hours is a must.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably in toxic tort or asbestos cases.
* Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes.
* Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
