Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Lead Equipment Systems Engineer to support our critical defense initiatives. This role is pivotal in overseeing the management of fielded program equipment, ensuring it meets the operational needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies for the integration, documentation, and testing of network and encryption devices.
  • Conduct system architecture engineering for deployed equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Manage system modernization efforts, including research, proof of concept, and lifecycle refreshes.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting to maintain equipment reliability, complemented by thorough documentation.
  • Coordinate site surveys, engaging with unit officials to address site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with User Support teams to resolve equipment-related issues efficiently.
  • Execute system updates and configurations using the latest Microsoft technology stacks.
  • Assist in managing inventory of fielded equipment, utilizing the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
  • Develop and deliver training programs for users on equipment operations and troubleshooting.
  • Provide comprehensive support for connectivity issues within the DoD NIPRNet environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Server versions, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory.
  • Experience in system administration, network architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to coordinate with various defense network operations for connectivity solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with DPAS and government equipment inventory protocols is advantageous.
