Job Summary:The School-based Behavioral Health Professional will work with students who have developmental, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders. You will use evidence-based practices to create a therapeutic, enriched, and meaningful learning environment that fosters social skills, personal growth, and community inclusion.
Responsibilities:- Work one-on-one with students in a public school setting to help them achieve their learning and development objectives.
- Assess individual goals and develop related strategies to support students' behaviors, social skills, personal routines, and community inclusion.
- Use evidence-based practices to create a therapeutic and enriched learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED required.
- BHP certification (course can be completed as part of employment and paid for by Woodfords).
- Experience with ASL strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with current auto insurance and use of a reliable vehicle.
