Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Residence Program Specialist is responsible for providing care and support to residents in one of our residential facilities. This role involves creating a homelike atmosphere, training residents in daily living skills, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety and well-being for residents, including responding to medical emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Train residents in activities of daily living, self-help skills, and social skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and in-service training to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
  • Prepare written reports, including incident reports and progress notes, to document resident care and support.
Requirements
  • Valid New York State Driver's License and good standing.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and families.
  • Ability to analyze problems and determine corrective measures.
  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Six months of related experience preferred, but not required.
  • Salaried employees must be approved Medication Administration Personnel (MAP) at time of hire or within six months of date of hire.
Compensation

$18.54 - $19.06/hour (after probation) + Industry-Leading Benefits
