This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in sensor development and cybersecurity, utilizing MBSE tools and methodologies. The successful candidate will be proficient in Systems Engineering practices, Modeling and Simulation, and Digital Engineering/MBSE, and will be enthusiastic about mentoring junior staff to enhance organizational expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide development initiatives through the Systems Engineering process using MBSE methodologies aligned with DoD Digital Engineering objectives.
  • Employ rigorous MBSE techniques utilizing SysML in Cameo (MagicDraw).
  • Offer mentorship and training to Systems Engineers on MBSE practices.
  • Collaborate closely with domain experts and software development teams to achieve program designs and digital engineering targets.
  • Establish traceability between MBSE model content and specialized analysis tools and simulations.
Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience as a Technical Project Lead.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with SysML models in Cameo or similar tools.
  • Experience with software-intensive systems and open architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in system architecture using modeling tools.
  • Domain expertise in areas such as Radar, Electronic Warfare, Acoustic, Antenna Apertures, Sensor Resource Management, Cyber Physical Systems, and Open System Architectures.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with government open architectures.
  • Experience with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
