Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Corporate Tax Manager to join our team within the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent role that presents an exciting chance to oversee and manage all corporate tax functions, including compliance with federal and state tax regulations, income tax accounting, strategic tax planning, and tax audits to support our multi-generational family business. The ideal candidate will ensure the corporation meets its tax obligations accurately and punctually while identifying and executing strategies to reduce tax liabilities. This role is perfect for individuals with a robust background in corporate taxation who thrive in a dynamic environment and relish the challenge of navigating intricate tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all corporate tax functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and managing income tax accounting and planning.
2. Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring precision, punctuality, and adherence to tax regulations.
3. Formulate and execute tax strategies aimed at minimizing liabilities and maximizing savings.
4. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to guarantee accurate and timely tax reporting.
5. Manage tax audits and inquiries, providing timely and professional responses to information requests.
6. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and evaluate their implications for the corporation.
7. Offer expert guidance on tax matters to senior management and stakeholders.
8. Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements to accurately reflect tax obligations.
9. Cultivate strong relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and other key stakeholders.
10. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
4. Proven track record in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns.
5. Experience in tax planning and strategy formulation.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
7. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clarify complex tax issues effectively.
9. High standards of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
10. Proficiency in tax software and relevant computer applications.
11. Experience in tax accounting for high-net-worth corporations is advantageous.
