Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent role that presents an exciting chance to oversee all facets of corporate taxation, including compliance with federal and state tax regulations, income tax accounting, strategic tax planning, and managing tax audits to support a multi-generational family-owned business. The ideal candidate will ensure that the corporation meets its tax obligations accurately and punctually while identifying and executing strategies to reduce tax liabilities. This role is perfect for individuals with a robust background in corporate taxation who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the complexities of tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all corporate tax functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, income tax accounting, and strategic tax planning.
2. Prepare and review corporate tax filings, ensuring precision, timeliness, and adherence to tax regulations.
3. Develop and execute tax strategies aimed at minimizing liabilities and maximizing savings.
4. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to guarantee accurate and timely tax reporting.
5. Manage tax audits and inquiries, responding to information requests promptly and professionally.
6. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and evaluate their implications for the corporation.
7. Provide expert guidance on tax matters to senior management and stakeholders.
8. Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring they accurately reflect tax obligations.
9. Cultivate strong relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and other key stakeholders.
10. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax filings.
5. Expertise in tax planning and strategy formulation.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex tax issues clearly.
9. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
10. Proficiency in tax software and relevant computer applications.
11. Experience in tax accounting for high-net-worth corporations is advantageous.
