Job Summary

The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in driving and overseeing financial functions across multiple locations globally for Thrive Foods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intercompany Transactions and Management
    • Determine and drive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for intercompany processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy, and train all stakeholders.
    • Initiate and manage all intercompany transactions, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Real-Time Transactions Analysis and Reconciliation
    • Review the general ledger to identify gaps or missed steps, addressing these with the correct staff and assisting with transaction entries as needed.
  • Capital Expenditures Transactions and Management
    • Manage the company's open capital expenditures report, tracking spending against planned amounts and working with engineering on reconciliation of book variances.
    • Support monthly CapEx approval meetings and processes.
    • Ensure assets are utilized in compliance with company policies and accurately reflected in reports and the general ledger.
  • Credit Card Transactions and Management
    • Act as the company's point-person for the credit card program.
    • Program administrator: Add and remove users, manage user limits, address fraud and card issues, and train users on process and expectations.
    • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate expense coding each month.
    • Ensure general ledgers are accurately maintained.
  • Lease Accounting Transactions and Management
    • Ensure all worldwide locations comply with lease accounting guidance.
    • Manage the accuracy and completeness of leases using an existing leasing software tool.
  • Other Duties
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • At least 3 years of experience with progressive responsibilities in accounting.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software experience with Just Foods Microsoft Dynamics ERP is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
