Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement physical security systems, tools, and applications to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and integrators to assess and update physical security technologies.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for security technologies and networks, including coordination with Cox IT organizations.
  • Manage systems, applications, networks, and databases to support and maintain our enterprise physical security technologies.
  • Develop and distribute reporting on HR support, audit, alarm activity, access management, security incidents, investigations, compliance, and monthly reporting.
  • Train and direct internal and external security personnel on enterprise physical security systems, applications, and tools.
  • Support lifecycle management, including software updates for physical security devices, tools, applications, and reporting.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and systems to maintain and enhance the organizational mission.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to physical security systems to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in a related field (physical security, networks, software application, database creation, and management) or 4+ years with a related advanced degree.
  • Proven self-starter with advanced knowledge of physical security systems, networks, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and collaborative skills.
  • Leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, public, or private sector security organization.
  • Security Clearance eligible.
  • Experience in incident management and business continuity.
  • Certification or accreditation from a Risk or Security Management Association or governing body.
