Job Description

As a Combat Engineer in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of military operations. Your skills and expertise will be essential in designing and building infrastructure, detecting and neutralizing hazards, and providing tactical support to your team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build bridges, roadways, and defensive positions
  • Conduct route clearance operations and detect explosive hazards
  • Construct wire obstacles and fixed bridges
  • Operate heavy equipment and perform strenuous physical activities
Requirements:
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements

Training and Development:

You will receive 10 weeks of Basic Training and 14 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Your on-the-job training will consist of hands-on work in a variety of construction projects.
