Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our electrical infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, high voltage operations, and industry-recognized safe practices. The successful candidate will oversee projects, provide technical guidance, and assist in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, with a focus on meeting plant standards and regulatory criteria;
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to provide technical expertise and support;
  • Participate in day-to-day electrical maintenance activities, including emergency repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting;
  • Review and revise High Tension procedures to ensure accuracy and applicability;
  • Review and revise lock out procedures as needed to ensure consistency between written and practiced procedures;
  • Provide assistance to the Automation Engineer for PLC-related issues;
  • Test and re-qualify High Tension operators according to company safety policy;
  • Submit, update, and validate electrical drawings in the document control system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years industrial experience, preferably in high voltage and transformer operations;
  • Knowledge of industry-recognized safe practices and basic knowledge of system controls and PLCs;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCAD;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Team-oriented, deadline-driven, and detail-focused;
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
