Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage facilities maintenance operations, including preventative and corrective maintenance, energy management, and grounds keeping.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of staff, professionals, and management.
  • Manage a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-range plans for facilities management, including construction and renovation projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Director of Facilities in a university or campus setting, managing all skilled mechanical trades, grounds, and environmental and custodial services in a union campus environment.
  • 5 years of management experience and 5 years of functional experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape, and energy management.
  • Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus.
