About the Role

The Local Crafts Group is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and drive company growth. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, as well as traditional marketing techniques. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving measurable results and achieving KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a successful brand image that attracts customers.
  • Oversee the brand's social media presence ensuring brand consistency.
  • Manage and maintain the company's social media channels, including setting posts, managing comments and questions, and promoting content.
  • Create a content calendar theme for all media channels.
  • Maintain and manage the company email newsletter campaign, including creating and editing content.

Key Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related field.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, with a proven record driving measurable results and achieving KPIs.
  • Proficient in content creation and management software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics, tools and platforms.
  • Advanced copywriting, editing and layout abilities required.

The Local Crafts Group is a leading supplier of quality hand knitting yarns and patterns to crafters of all kinds. We are known for our selection of yarns along with our extensive library of knitting and crochet patterns. Our close-knit team carries a passion for their jobs and for the community of local yarn shops (LYS), knitters, and crocheters which we serve. We lead in our industry as a curated supplier of yarn for all makers.

After your training and introductory 90 days, you may choose to work onsite or in a hybrid arrangement dependent on department and other company needs. Hybrid is defined as 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week remote.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a passion for the needle arts industry and the ability to knit is required. We will require you to perform a short skills assessment.
