Urban Education Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Middle School History Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As a member of our grade level team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and academic growth.

Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Use data-driven instructional strategies to drive student achievement
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Academic expertise in Education, History, Geography, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or the Humanities
- Prior experience working in urban schools and communities (1-2 years preferred)
Salary Range:
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
