Role Summary:
The Global Client Finance Lead (GCFL) is a pivotal senior finance position responsible for delivering comprehensive financial and commercial leadership for Publicis' Global Client Accounts. This role primarily collaborates with the Global Client Lead (GCL) to ensure the successful achievement of profitable growth across all client capabilities, including creative, media, digital, technology, and data.

The GCFL is tasked with:

  • Partnering with the GCL to formulate an annual client strategy aligned with growth objectives.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the client's business models and contractual agreements.
  • Advising finance leadership on critical issues impacting the client portfolio.
  • Leading negotiations for global retainers and assignments.
  • Conducting monthly business reviews with the GCL and client leads.
  • Serving as the primary finance liaison with client finance and procurement contacts.
  • Managing foreign exchange and tax implications related to cross-border invoicing.
  • Ensuring client profitability by identifying underperforming areas and implementing corrective measures.
  • Monitoring client account working capital and collaborating with treasury teams to maintain acceptable levels.
  • Providing insightful analysis and fostering proactive problem-solving.
  • Leading all aspects of client finance management, including contract negotiations and dispute resolutions.
  • Reviewing financial reports and ensuring accuracy in client account financial reporting.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong numerical background, ideally with a professional qualification (CPA/CIMA or equivalent) or an MBA.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience, with global exposure being advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A relentless drive for results and business growth.
  • Proven success in a complex, matrixed organizational structure.
  • Confidence in managing senior-level client relationships and internal stakeholders.
