As a critical thinker, you will operate with autonomy, embracing accountability and a mindset for continuous improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to work with the EHS Manager and team to develop and administer safety programs and policies that ensure company-wide compliance with regulatory agency requirements. You will promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, contributing to the efficient and profitable operation of our facilities. Your excellent writing and verbal communication skills will enable you to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, subordinates, customers, and clients. You must be able to report to client facilities as needed, sometimes with same-day notice. A valid California Driver License with a good driving record and automobile insurance that meets company requirements is also essential. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are preferred.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist with maintaining and updating all safety documents (JSA's, SOP's, or Policies etc.)
* Conduct safety inspections for equipment and mechanical safety guards
* Develop and deliver safety training programs on new JSA's, SOP's, or Policies etc.
* Implement safety policies such as HazCom (Right to Know), Power Industrial Truck, Hearing Conservation, PPE program, Fall Protection, LOTO, and other Safety programs as well as environmental programs
* Support employee work-related injury investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed
* Complete weekly and monthly inspections on Emergency Equipment (Fire Extinguisher, First Aid, Emergency Shower etc.)
* Assist with facility permit administration and recordkeeping (Industrial Wastewater, SWPPP, and Air Admission)
* Maintain and update the SDS program for Maintenance, Sanitation, and Janitors chemicals or non-product materials
* Enter and inspect company facilities, walk into production and warehouse areas to monitor hazards, equipment conditions, temperatures, noise levels, and employee work practices
* Maintain familiarity with company policies and procedures pertaining to Quality Manual, Food Security/Food Defense, Sanitation, cGMP's, and HACCP/Food Safety
* Regular, punctual attendance is required

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field preferred
* Knowledge of Industrial Cal/OSHA, and Federal OSHA, policies, programs, environmental regulations (EPA) MS Office software
* Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, subordinates, customers, and clients
* Must report to any client facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice
* Must have a valid California Driver License, with a good driving record and automobile insurance limit that fulfill company requirements
* Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
