Job Summary

The Echocardiographer Technician PRN is responsible for performing all established echocardiography procedures. This role requires consideration of age-related factors in care, treatment, education, and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The successful candidate will apply knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. The Echocardiographer Technician PRN will perform procedures safely and observe universal precautions at all times. This role will pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care and perform related work as required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all established echocardiography procedures
  • Consider age-related factors in care, treatment, education, and evaluation of patients
  • Apply knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures
  • Perform procedures safely and observe universal precautions at all times
  • Pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program
  • RDS eligible or registered
  • Licensure: Registered Cardiac Sonographer
  • Certification: BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire
  • Minimum of 2 years of echo experience
  • Vascular experience preferred
