Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for executing all standard echocardiography procedures while considering age-related factors in patient care. This includes:
  • Performing procedures safely and adhering to universal precautions.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance patient care.
  • Executing related tasks as necessary.
Qualifications

Education:
Completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program. RDS eligibility or registration is preferred.

Licensure:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer.

Certification:
BLS certification through the American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) is required upon hire.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience is required, with vascular experience preferred.
