About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Radiation Therapy Department, you will collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure the precise and safe administration of radiation treatments. Your role will involve:
- Engaging with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and care delivery.
- Assisting the Chief Therapist/Dosimetrist with necessary administrative tasks.
- Adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards within the department and institution.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must possess:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- A Registered Nurse license and an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) designation and a minimum of two years of experience in oncology nursing.
