Role Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:

  • Prepare patients for pediatric or fetal echocardiograms, adhering to established echo lab protocols.
  • Engage effectively with patients and/or guardians to gather comprehensive clinical histories and obtain informed consent.
  • Identify and rectify errors promptly, demonstrating proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of echocardiography principles, anatomy, and congenital cardiac conditions, employing optimal techniques for superior imaging.
  • Ensure the ultrasound equipment is functioning correctly, addressing any malfunctions as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and educational activities.
  • Occasionally travel to various clinic locations.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Recent hands-on experience in a clinical environment as a sonographer or sonographer student.
  • Certification as RDCS or RDMS with expertise in at least two specialties, such as pediatric and/or fetal echocardiography, OB/GYN, or adult echocardiography.
