About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UVA Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and prepare surgical instruments and equipment according to surgeon preference cards.
  • Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
  • Demonstrate aseptic technique and sterile conscience at all times.
  • Provide safe patient care and demonstrate awareness of environmental safety practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of surgical cases and review surgeon preference cards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled or graduated from a surgical technologist training program accredited by CAHEEP/AHEPS or NCCT.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified to practice as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • Current Registration with Virginia Board of Medicine required at the time of hire.
