Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage PMEL technical operations, ensuring production efficiency and effective training management at designated locations.
  • Direct and allocate tasks to Lead Technicians and PMEL technicians, focusing on troubleshooting, aligning, repairing, modifying, calibrating, and certifying TMDE; ensure adherence to safety and security protocols.
  • Engage with clients to address and resolve calibration and maintenance support challenges; participate in root cause analysis and corrective action meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to enhance laboratory operational effectiveness continuously.
  • Plan, develop, and supervise budget execution, manage contract funding, authorize and monitor expenditures. Provide interim status reports on all accounts, establish and maintain property control systems in accordance with FAR 45.5, and ensure overall contract performance, including operational quality and resource management within set budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the Government Contracting Officer (CO) and/or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and staff, along with other Government representatives.
  • Review the workload plan, establish and enforce work standards, assign work schedules, review discrepancies, and supervise PMEL personnel. The Senior Operations Supervisor is also responsible for communicating company policies, objectives, and goals to team members and managing all hiring and evaluation processes, as well as assessing proposed solutions and trend analysis results for feasibility and cost.
  • Coordinate training programs and requirements.
  • Administer program and contract management, including manpower, budget, and funding requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for both PMEL programs and personnel.
  • The Senior Operations Supervisor may be required to perform additional related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Senior Operations Supervisor will lead and guide the PMEL team, providing counsel and direction to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite; capability to learn additional software applications.
  • Ability to accurately input data into databases.
  • Capability to interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills essential for effective collaboration with all management levels and staff.
  • Proficiency in using general office equipment such as fax machines, phones, copiers, scanners, and printers.
  • Ability to adhere to established processes.
  • Strong customer service skills, including active listening and prompt follow-up.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions while effectively communicating issues to management.
  • Ability to comprehend corporate policies and procedures and their relation to organizational goals.
  • Basic mathematical computation skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with US Air Force PMEL.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 6 years of recent experience in the management, administration, and supervision of US Air Force PMELs in accordance with TO.
