Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Newborn Hospitalist Physician to join our team at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division, you will provide exceptional care to newborns in our special care nursery setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the special care nursery, including attendance at high-risk labor and delivery calls and management of sick newborns.
  • Collaborate with our Neonatologist team to provide prenatal consultations and coordinate transfers to higher levels of care as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance maternal and infant care.
  • Provide education and training to Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby staff, including team and skills building through periodic mock codes.
  • Collaborate with other hospital departments to deliver comprehensive care to newborns.
