Cleveland, Ohio, United States University Hospitals Full time

Position Type: Opportunities for Full-Time and Part-Time roles available.

Specialty: Pediatrics / Hospital Medicine

The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is actively seeking dedicated Pediatric Hospitalists to provide care in diverse clinical environments. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a well-established team of medical professionals serving patients from infancy through adolescence across North East Ohio.

Opportunity Highlights:

We offer both full-time and part-time pediatric hospitalist positions at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and affiliated satellite facilities. Positions are available on inpatient general pediatric hospitalist teams, as well as roles that integrate activities across the full spectrum of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) care. Clinical responsibilities can be customized to align with the interests of the selected candidates.

Our PHM faculty are recognized leaders in both medical education and clinical practice. They oversee several general inpatient teaching services, delivering evidence-based medical care for acutely ill hospitalized children, complex care patients, and surgical co-management. Hospitalists play essential roles in safety and quality initiatives throughout the healthcare system while working collaboratively with other subspecialists.

Faculty members provide care at multiple community satellite locations, catering to general pediatric inpatients who do not require subspecialty consultation, as well as newborn nursery care, including delivery room attendance and special care nursery coverage. All locations offer extensive opportunities for teaching a diverse range of learners, including PHM fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

  • Full-time faculty in the Division of PHM are expected to provide 1800 hours of clinical service annually.
  • A large, committed faculty group ensures flexibility in scheduling.
  • Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital utilizes the Epic electronic health record system.
  • Academic appointments for faculty are through The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with rank commensurate with the candidate's academic achievements.
