The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is actively seeking Pediatric Hospitalists to engage in diverse clinical environments. This role presents a chance to collaborate with a well-established team of medical professionals dedicated to caring for patients from infancy through adolescence across the North East Ohio region.
Opportunity Highlights:
We offer both full-time and part-time pediatric hospitalist positions at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and affiliated satellite facilities. Opportunities exist within inpatient general pediatric hospitalist teams, as well as roles that encompass a comprehensive range of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) services. Clinical responsibilities can be customized to align with the interests and expertise of the selected candidates.
Our PHM faculty at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital are recognized leaders in both medical education and clinical practice. Faculty members oversee several general inpatient teaching services, delivering evidence-based medical care for acutely ill hospitalized children, complex care patients, and those requiring surgical co-management. Hospitalists play vital roles in safety and quality initiatives throughout the healthcare system, collaborating closely with other subspecialists.
Faculty provide care at various community satellite locations, which cater to general pediatric inpatients not needing subspecialty consultation, as well as newborn nursery care, including delivery room attendance and special care nursery coverage. All locations offer extensive opportunities for teaching a diverse array of learners, including PHM fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
- Full-time faculty in the Division of PHM are expected to provide 1800 hours of clinical service annually.
- A large group of dedicated faculty ensures flexibility in scheduling.
- Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital utilizes the Epic electronic health record system.
- Academic appointments for faculty are managed through The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with rank commensurate with the candidate's academic achievements.

Qualifications:
- Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics. Board eligibility/certification in PHM is preferred but not mandatory for all positions.
- We encourage applicants interested in careers in Academic Hospital Medicine, as well as those focused on community-based and newborn hospital medicine, including nocturnists.
