Position Type: Opportunities available for both Full Time and Part Time roles.

Specialty: Pediatrics / Hospital Medicine

The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is actively seeking Pediatric Hospitalists to engage in diverse clinical environments. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a well-established team of medical professionals dedicated to caring for patients from infancy through adolescence across the North East Ohio region.

Opportunity Highlights:

We have openings for both full-time and part-time pediatric hospitalist positions at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and our affiliated facilities. Clinical responsibilities can be customized to align with the interests of the selected candidates.

Our PHM faculty at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital are recognized leaders in both medical education and clinical practice. They oversee various general inpatient teaching services, delivering evidence-based medical care for acutely ill hospitalized children, managing complex care patients, and collaborating on surgical cases. Hospitalists play crucial roles in safety and quality initiatives throughout the healthcare system while working closely with other specialists.

Faculty members provide care at multiple community satellite locations, catering to general pediatric inpatients who do not require subspecialty consultation, as well as managing newborn nursery care, including delivery room attendance and special care nursery responsibilities. All sites offer significant opportunities for teaching a diverse range of learners, including PHM fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

  • Full-time faculty in the Division of PHM are expected to provide 1800 hours of clinical service annually.
  • A large and dedicated faculty group offers flexibility in scheduling.
  • Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital utilizes the Epic electronic health record system.
  • Academic appointments for faculty are through The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with rank based on the candidate's academic achievements.
