Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of NMLS and state licensing records, including the establishment of new branches for all loan originators.
  • Monitor continuing education obligations for all licensed loan originators.
  • Collaborate with loan originators to collect necessary information for licensing and renewal activities.
  • Address all internal and external inquiries related to the aforementioned responsibilities.
  • Track the status of licenses in NMLS and keep relevant stakeholders updated on any challenges encountered.
  • Serve as the primary backup for other members of the licensing team as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in licensing within the mortgage sector.
  • Preferred 2-5 years of general experience in the mortgage industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the licensure of loan originators.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the NMLS licensing platform.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with mortgage-related systems is preferred.
