Corporate Maintenance Administrator

A leading industrial services and metals recycling company, Scrap Metal Services, LLC., is seeking a skilled Corporate Maintenance Administrator to support their maintenance team.

The successful candidate will report to the Director, Asset Management, and be responsible for assisting with scheduling repairs, preventative maintenance, rebuilds, and other needs as part of a comprehensive maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective short and long-term maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Liaise with maintenance and operations personnel, as well as third-party contractors, to ensure seamless maintenance support
  • Maximize maintenance resource utilization through the development of an effective maintenance plan
  • Modify the plan to compensate for variations in resource availability, actual work completed, or additional work required
  • Prepare, maintain, and update job plans for planned tasks
  • Ensure PM services are scheduled in accordance with accepted intervals and standards, and work is performed in a timely manner
  • Identify resources required for planned tasks, such as parts, tooling, equipment, materials, and work procedures
  • Review information from oil samples, component operating hour data, mechanics reports, operating reports, and recommended OEM supplier component replacement guidelines to propose and schedule component replacement
  • Advise and support maintenance team leaders with data entry, backlog work orders, and work order management
  • Participate in regular meetings to review daily and weekly work schedules
  • Conduct training, both on-site and/or via video conferencing, for new applications or staff at new job locations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive performance dashboards for each site based on maintenance functions
  • Conduct on-site audits of the maintenance program and fleet to ensure compliance with the maintenance program
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with a CMMS (preferably eMaint)
  • Experience working with J.D. Edwards and ReportsNow preferred
  • 3-5 years of mobile maintenance planning experience in the scrap and heavy equipment industry
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions
  • Ability to read and understand equipment service manuals
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, team-oriented, and work with minimum supervision
  • Ability and flexibility for periodic overnight travel
