About the Role

The IBM Computing Senior Consulting Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of highly skilled consultants and leaders in the Americas Customer Success - Managed Services (MS) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly lead and manage a team of Consulting Managers, Team Leads, and consultants.
  • Collaborate with Regional Director and other Consulting Managers to appropriately staff and utilize consultant team members.
  • Lead/manage the sales process to position Customer Success and Managed Services.
  • Achieve corporate annual P&L targets and metrics.
  • Ensure high quality of technical deliverables.
  • Provide delivery expertise and oversight/guidance to MS Consulting leaders and staff.
  • Clearly communicate to executive management any issues that affect success of staff or customers.
Team Development
  • Provide ongoing leadership and enabling of Managers, Team Leads, and team members.
  • Support the hiring pipeline via candidate screening, interviews, and decisions on new hires.
  • Provide new hires with a positive employee experience.
Requirements
  • Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership/management experience in professional services.
  • At least 5+ years of technical consulting or software applications/SaaS experience.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in deploying enterprise-level and/or SaaS software solutions.
