About the Role

CoolSys is seeking a highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide service to customers by repairing and overhauling equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and any operating deficiencies of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance for the customer base.
  • Process job tickets and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Provide necessary training to new or less qualified technicians as needed.
  • Maintain proper truck inventory continuously and drive company vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical.
  • Working knowledge of single systems, rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer controls.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and management.
