Role Summary
We are currently seeking a Part-Time (24 hours/week) Café and Retail Associate for our 16th Street Café and Factory. This position is designed for individuals who appreciate the craftsmanship behind our chocolate and are eager to provide exceptional service through our beverages and pastries.
Key Responsibilities
As a Café and Retail Associate, you will:
- Master Chocolate Knowledge: Gain comprehensive knowledge about chocolate production, from sourcing to processing, and learn how to create your own chocolate batch.
- Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences: Ensure every guest receives a memorable experience by providing timely and thoughtful service, regardless of the café's busyness.
- Enhance Operations: Identify and implement improvements in operational procedures and documentation to benefit the entire team.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work harmoniously with team members to maintain a positive atmosphere, even during peak hours.
- Perform Additional Duties: Assist with various tasks as needed to support café operations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with customers and share insights about our chocolate-making process.
- Relevant Experience: 1-2 years in retail or customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Experience with espresso drinks is advantageous.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, totaling 24 hours per week.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken English is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
