Key Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Order Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing incoming pharmacy service requests. Your role will include informing clients about order status, pricing, and shipping details while addressing any inquiries they may have.
Shift: 3rd shift - 7 on 7 off (includes a 10% shift differential).
  1. Input customer details, including names, addresses, billing information, product specifications, and order specifics into the order management system.
  2. Confirm and log physician details accurately.
  3. Process new medication requests and manage refill orders.
  4. Organize and distribute documents received via fax.
  5. Handle customer complaints and issues, escalating them to the Order Processing Supervisor when necessary.
  6. Review and verify customer and order information for accuracy, making necessary checks against prior data.
  7. Assist relevant departments in preparing and dispatching orders to designated locations.
  8. Check inventory levels to ensure requested items are available.
  9. Examine orders for completeness according to established protocols and forward incomplete orders for further action.
  10. Meet the Expectations of Excellence for your role.

  12. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  13. Perform all duties with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
Strong mathematical skills
Proficient in computer operations
Excellent customer service abilities
Effective telephone communication skills
Able to maintain focus for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime and during holidays/weekends
Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations
Detail-oriented approach
High school diploma or GED required
