The USTA Middle States section, located in Valley Forge, PA, covers Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey (excluding a specific radius around New York City), and northwestern West Virginia.

Position Overview
The Regional League Manager (RLM) oversees USTA League Tennis operations within the USTA MS Philadelphia Area Tennis District (PATD). This role focuses on boosting participation in league tennis by supporting existing programs and fostering the development of new league initiatives. The RLM will cultivate strong partnerships within the local community, engaging with both tennis and non-tennis facilities, organizations, and volunteers while assisting fellow league coordinators as needed.
- Recruit and maintain effective communication with league captains.
- Collaboratively develop district schedules and timelines in alignment with section requirements.
- Work alongside the Manager of Adult Leagues to establish a volunteer framework for USTA League activities within the district.
- Facilitate captains' meetings at strategic points throughout the year.
- Act as Tournament Director for designated district championships.
- Engage in special initiatives aimed at increasing League participation, such as Captains Appreciation Events and Adult Leagues.
- Collaborate with facility staff to highlight the advantages of USTA League tennis.
- Partner with the Manager of Adult Competition to promote tennis opportunities for diverse age groups.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications team to devise local marketing strategies to attract new players and retain existing ones.
- Represent USTA MS at workshops, events, or meetings as required.
- Provide regular updates on goals and activities to the Manager of Adult Leagues.
- Collaborate with other Coordinators on district events, including championships and awards.
- Serve as a liaison to the district council and Tennis Service Representative.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Strong organizational, administrative, and management capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in customer service and volunteer management.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Google tools.
- High energy and enthusiasm for the sport.
- Preferred knowledge of the USTA MS league program and a background in tennis.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within the USTA MS programming team.
- A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Residency in the Philadelphia Area Tennis District or proximity is preferred but not essential.
