About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at CHILI JOHNS. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious dishes that showcase our commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh, local ingredients and align with our culinary concept.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
  • Monitor food costs and assist in menu pricing and portion control to maximize profitability.
  • Manage ordering of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked without excessive inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records to assist in effective cost control.
  • Ensure all food preparation and cooking processes comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards and efficiency.
  • Adapt to changing menus and customer preferences while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Participate in kitchen maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy restaurant or similar establishment.
  • Strong background in menu design, costing, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts and customer satisfaction.
