Job Title: Electromechanical Engineer 2

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer 2 to join our team at HII. As an Electromechanical Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robotics and automation solutions for naval construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robotic and automation solutions for component fabrication
  • Integrate and test robotic and automation systems
  • Develop motion and process programming for robotic and automated manufacturing systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot production line faults
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automation solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 2 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with robotic programming languages (Karel, RAPID), offline programming software (Arithmetic Robot Application Control (ARAC), RinasWeld, RoboGuide, Robot Studio, Microsoft Visual Studios, Visual Components with Spatial Analyzer plugin, and 3D modeling packages (Inventor, or others)
  • Familiarity with major industrial 6 axis robotic systems (ABB, Fanuc) and collaborative robotics (Cobots)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with process automation controllers (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Phoenix Contact), and HMI controllers
  • Experience developing robotic and automation solutions
  • Experience deploying robots in a production environment
