Electromechanical Systems Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As an Electromechanical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robotics and automation solutions for naval construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robotic and automation solutions for component fabrication
- Create motion and process programming for robotic and automated manufacturing systems
- Develop robotic and automation simulations to assist with throughput and business case analysis
- Design and create new robotic tooling systems and develop process parameters to improve robot and automation capabilities
- Perform complex analysis, concept development, design, and prototyping of robotic and automation solutions for shipyard manufacturing applications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 2 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
- Experience with robotic programming languages, offline programming software, and 3D modeling packages
- Familiarity with major industrial 6 axis robotic systems and collaborative robotics
- Familiarity with process automation controllers and HMI controllers
