Position Overview: Senior Service Technician

The Senior Service Technician plays a crucial role in the repair, servicing, calibration, and commissioning of testing systems, supporting end-of-line and research and development testing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, install, and overhaul various testing systems to facilitate validation processes both on-site and at client locations.
  • Install equipment, execute testing protocols, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and analyze malfunctions to effectively repair testing systems.
  • Replace components such as electric motors, pumps, belts, wiring, and numeric controls, addressing mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic functions.
  • Disassemble and inspect component parts; repair, reassemble, and test valves, pumps, and controls.
  • Construct specialized assembly and testing fixtures; fabricate custom replacement parts as needed.
  • Move and install equipment; connect electrical power, hydraulic lines, and air lines.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations on testing systems.
  • Regularly verify the functionality of equipment safety devices.
  • Document issues, solutions, and repairs performed, and report any unusual equipment or operational concerns to management.
  • Utilize a variety of machine tools and testing equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and precision inspection tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with all policies and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree.
  • 4 to 6+ years of relevant experience or trades training in complex machinery maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints in DIN/ISO standard format.
  • Proficient in analyzing blueprints and applying mathematics to understand complex machine drawings.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with machine operations and repair methods for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel, primarily within North America.
Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLC logic.
  • Relevant certifications or formal training.
  • Understanding of testing systems and service requirements.
