Position Overview:
The Senior Service Technician plays a crucial role in the repair, servicing, calibration, and commissioning of testing systems to support end-of-line and research and development testing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, install, and overhaul various testing systems to facilitate validation processes at customer locations.
  • Install equipment, execute testing protocols, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and assess malfunctions to restore testing systems.
  • Replace components such as electric motors, pumps, belts, and wiring, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic functions are operational.
  • Disassemble and inspect component parts; repair, reassemble, and test valves, pumps, and controls.
  • Construct specialized assembly and testing fixtures; manufacture custom replacement parts as needed.
  • Move and install equipment, including wiring electric power, installing hydraulic lines, and connecting air lines.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations on testing systems.
  • Regularly verify the functionality of safety devices on equipment.
  • Document issues, solutions, and repair activities comprehensively.
  • Report any unusual equipment or operational concerns to management promptly.
  • Utilize a variety of machine tools and testing equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and precision inspection tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations and customer policies.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Qualifications:
Associate's Degree with 4 to 6+ years of relevant experience or trades training in complex machinery maintenance. Familiarity with reading blueprints in DIN/ISO format and a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components is essential.

Proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting, along with basic knowledge of machine operations and repair methods, is required. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico, averaging 50% of the time, with potential peaks up to 75% depending on project needs.
